Writing Journal-Homework

My district uses SF Reading Street '08 for reading, spelling, & grammar.  The suggestion for writing is a homework assignment since I prefer to teach writing on a workshop format.  When we're finally writing on our own...students may use the writing suggestions from the reading series.

Students use a composition notebook for their writing homework...thus the journal label that goes on the inside their notebook.  If you'd like a sample (4 per page)...please email (patbaker67@gmail.com)and I'll send it as a pdf file.

Next is a partial example of the writing from Reading Street that the students put in their notebooks to show what the writing should resemble.
